• 7/8 Nov Annual Pumpkin Drop 
• Silvercreek Glider Club shall hold its annual pumpkin drop event on 7 Nov with a rain date of 8 Nov. Operations to begin PROMPTLY AT 11 AM.
• Pumpkins will be dropped from the back seat of a Schweizer 2-33A glider. To participate, the fee is $25 per attempt. The monies will be thrown into a pot and at the nd of the event, the closest bomb (or bombs) takes the pot. (Weight limitation of the 2-33A is 200 lbs) Bring your friends, bring your pumpkins and come out and test your bombadier skill!
• A bonfire shall follow the day's event. Guests and members are encouraged to bring a side dish to share and drinks. The club will provide some sort of meat. Members have been known to bring their favorite fall recipes to share, too.
• Silvercreek Glider Club is located at 7410 Rockwell Road, New Douglas, Illinois. From I-55 in Illinois, take exit 30, Illinois Route 140. Turn east toward Greenville and proceed approximately 10.6 miles. Turn left on Rockwell Road and proceed approximately 8.7 miles. Turn right on Leuscher Road and drive about 1.5 miles. Turn left again on Rockwell Road. Silvercreek Glider Club is just ahead on the right. You can't miss the sign. Please park near our barn or pavilion. Plent of space available. Overflow parking is along and behind the clubhouse.
•   PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE TAXIWAY OR NEAR ANY AIRPLANES.
